Travels include:

  • Born in Moscow in 1799
  • Educated at Tsarskoye Selo and graduated in 1817.
  • Lived in St. Petersburg with family until 1820 when first exiled to Yekaterinaslov under General Insov.
  • Traveled to Gurzuf to use the healing hot springs of the mountains and to live with the Raevsky family for several months.
  • Relocated to Odessa to work under General Voronstov.
  • Sent to Mikhailovskoye, the Pushkin family estate, in Pskov to be closely monitored by the local Sheriff.
  • Summoned by Tsar Nicholas the first in 1827 to Moscow after the Decembrist Uprising.
  • Eager to visit brother Lev and Nicholas Raevsky in the military near Erzerum.
